Common Questions

Q: Will my partner, helper, or substitute be covered under my policy?
A: No. Your Dance Studio Insurance policy covers you and you only. It is specifically created for situations in which one of your Pilates participants get injured in class or when there is property damage to someone’s studio in which you’re leading a class. Anyone working with you or for you will need his or her own insurance coverage, too.

Q: Will I be covered for classes I teach out of my home?
A: No, when you teach out of your home, your house functions as a Pilates studio in the eyes of insurance carriers. This means you will also need Pilates Studio Insurance
.

Q: Do I need to be certified to get coverage?
A: No. You can obtain coverage whether or not you’re certified, as coverage is available for both types of instructors under both programs. However, certification is an asset, as it makes you eligible for a premium discount on our plans.
