As a Pilates professional you naturally face certain risks in working with the public. To protect yourself in the case of an accident, injury, or property damage, you need Pilates liability insurance. Dance Studio Insurance offers Pilates instructor liability insurance to help you deal with legal fees and other damages involved with on-site incidents. In fact, in order to serve as many Pilates instructors as possible, we now offer two different Pilates teacher insurance programs. Below, we guide you to figure out the one that is best for you!

Insurance for Pilates instructors is liability insurance, which covers you against qualifying claims of participant injury, or property damage to others.

Our Pilates instructor insurance is comprehensive, while being inexpensive. Coverage begins at about $125 per year.

Common Questions

Q: Will my partner, helper, or substitute be covered under my policy?
A: No. Your Dance Studio Insurance policy covers you and you only. It is specifically created for situations in which one of your Pilates participants get injured in class or when there is property damage to someone’s studio in which you’re leading a class. Anyone working with you or for you will need his or her own insurance coverage, too.

Q: Will I be covered for classes I teach out of my home?
A: No, when you teach out of your home, your house functions as a Pilates studio in the eyes of insurance carriers. This means you will also need Pilates Studio Insurance

Q: Do I need to be certified to get coverage?
A: No. You can obtain coverage whether or not you’re certified, as coverage is available for both types of instructors under both programs. However, certification is an asset, as it makes you eligible for a premium discount on our plans.
